The market for glamour modelling established mainly with Playboy in 1953 (today more in PlayboyPlus) and The Sun’s Page 3 in 1969, a section in their newspaper which now features topless British models.
For the most part, glamour models are modelling in calendars and men’s magazines, such as Playboy, Maxim, FHM. However, some popular models transition into commercial print modelling, appearing in swimwear, bikini and lingerie photo shoots.
